The growth in the use of
controlled substances has been well documented in recent years. As
well as the harmful effects on users and their families, many would
argue that all too often society foots the bill. Recent studies also
suggest that the impact of drugs within the work place is far wider
reaching than many organisations appreciate.

This course is designed to give candidates a basic knowledge of drug
types, their effects, drug culture, and paraphernalia. It also
examines the problems faced within the wider community, as well as
looking at current legislation.
Alcohol Awareness

This course explores how alcohol abuse can present many unique
problems for the user, his or her family, and occasionally their
workplace. It examines issues such as dependency, tolerance, safe
guidelines, common misconceptions, warning signs, as well as
discussing several case studies.
Counter Drugs Training

This course is designed for those unfortunate incidences where the
problem of drug abuse needs to be tackled by isolation and
eradication. It examines a host of interventions from community led
incentives to planning and design strategies.
Drugs in the Workplace

This course examines issues surrounding the use of drugs/alcohol
within the workplace setting, issues such a lack of productivity,
absenteeism and workplace safety are examined and discussed at
length. The course also explores sensitive areas, such as policy
implementation, duty of care, and the testing of employees.
